I exercised today! Not much; just 2 minutes on the elip. machine and 5 on a rowing machine. This is the third day and I have a few fears and self-doubts but am trying to maintain a positive mind. I feel MEAN, ANGRY, and a little stupid for being in the position that I have to lose a lot of weight again. Five or ten pounds I was able to deal with but this much again? How did that happen? Answer: One pound at a time. I must try to think smaller not in total. My husband (and best pal in the world) is doing this with me. We both want to be older, healther seniors. Most folks our ages know 'aging ain't easy!' and being healthier will definately help.

I'm new at this 'blog' thing but I'm still teachable. I loved meeting everyone yesterday at the orientation session of Lighten Up 2011. How fortunate that I was picked to journey with them for the next six months. I'm certain we'll forge new friendships and I hope we'll have 'class reunions' after the last weigh-in. Yesterday was my first day of giving up my 'beverage of choice' which is full of empty calories. It's amazing what one turns to when idle so my initial step is to turn off the TV and get moving: do more sewing and piano practicing and less spectator activities....
